Arianna Coghill, left, with Virginia Commonwealth University’s Capitol News Service, visited the James Solomon Russell/Saint Paul’s College Museum and Archives on April 2 to gather information on a news story she is writing about the museum. Meeting with her was James Grimstead, Chairman of the Museum and Sylvia Allen, board member. Capitol News Service is a program of VCU’s Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture. They provide state government and other news coverage for Virginia’s community newspapers and other media outlets. During the spring, Capitol News Service offers a three-credit course. Students meet twice a week to discuss and plan stories and work on reporting and writing skills.
